The fight schedule will be on December 8, 2012 and will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This is a welterweight non-title fight; both fighters are aiming to end up this long rivalry on a knock-out. Previously Manny Pacquiao training is always started in the high altitude in the Northern Philippines which is Baguio City. However, Freddie Roach observed that when Pacquiao trained in this location there are lots of destructions occurs that could possibly affect the training program of his fighter. With this regard they decided to do their entire training camp in Hollywood in the Wild Card Gym. This could possibly reduce all destructions to his fighter the people champ Manny Pacquiao. Roach wanted his fighter to be aggressive again just like his previous fights where-in he could easily knocked down his opponents.

The former WWE Wrestler player who already turned to be a Mixed Martial Arts Batista also commented that he is not in favor of Pacquiao Marquez IV fight, since according to him he anticipated the same fight as what before, Pacquiao will be the aggressive and Marquez will be counter punching. He also stated that Pacquiao will be struggling more on Marquez counter punching style, he admire Manny Pacquiao as a better fighter but he is not convince to see this Pacquiao Marquez IV fight on December 28.
